Tyquan Cooper
My name is Tyquan Cooper. I'm 24 years old, and I was a member of the Club for 12 years.
When I think of the Club, I remember my friends and staff and the activities. The club was a social outlet to be with friends and the staff became mentors.
My favorite memory of activities or events that I participated in at the Club include Talent shows, ranger camp, basketball and flag football.
I wouldn't be where I am today if I weren’t a member of the Club. The club helped with college and provided scholarship opportunties for help. If it wasn’t for the club my attitude would have still been poor.
The Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster is like a community center that brings full potential out of youth and provides them something they may not have gotten elsewhere. It inspires them to follow their goals.
