Tawny Threats
Left: Tawny Threats, "Girl of the Year" 2003
My name Tawny Threats. I'm 20 years old, and I was a member of the Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster for 5 years.
When I think of the Club, I remember the Bowling lane at the South West Clubhouse, and Lock Ins.
For me,
the Club was a safe place, a meeting place for friends to stay out of trouble
My favorite memories of activities or events that I participated in at the Club include going to Scotland, Cheerleading with Ms Angie and Banquets.
I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for the Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster. I went to the Lancaster
General Hospital School of Nursing for my RN and I'm currently transferring to another institution and majoring in Biology.
The club is a place where kids can go not only socially but mentally to become civil and honest citizens in the community. The club opens doors and gives opportunities to urban youth that wouldn’t have the exposure otherwise.
