Triple Play: A Game Plan for Mind, Body, and Soul is a program established together with the Boys and Girls Club of America and The Coca-Cola Company and Kraft Foods, Inc. to teach youth how to make healthier choices. This national program takes a holistic approach to educating boys and girls about good nutrition, making physical fitness a daily practice and developing individual strengths and good character. In addition to components for the mind and body, the Triple Play program gets at the soul of the Club experience - the game room. Each mind, body, and soul program component can stand alone, yet integrating them allows Club members to reap more powerful, lifelong benefits.
-MIND: Empowering youth to eat right is a generation changing program goal, and Triple Play’s nutrition component, called Healthy Habits, covers the power of choice, calories vitamins and minerals, the food pyramid and appropriate portion size.
-BODY: takes a systematic approach, this component boosts Clubs’ traditional physical activities to a higher level by providing sports and fitness activities for all youth boys and girls, athletically gifted and those talented in other areas, children and teens alike. Daily Fitness Challenges: six challenges give youth at every age the chance to play longer and harder at different games from jumping rope to basketball and creating games of their own.

Tennis Program – The tennis program is conducted by a local college to help build the interest level of tennis in urban youth. It serves as an excellent tool to expose members to a non-traditional sport. Volunteers conduct this program twice a week to help develop the character of club members through tennis while emphasizing important values of leadership and academic excellence. This program takes place twice a week during the spring and summer months for all ages. There were a total of 46 members who participated in this program.
Red Rose Soccer Program: The Club has partnered with Red Rose Soccer Arena and Angelo's Soccer Corner! Soccer clinics are held every Wednesday Night at 6:00 p.m. 42 members attended the first clinic and the numbers are growing each week! Learn more >>
Heads Up: Heads Up stands for Helping Empower And Develop Students - Unleashing Potential. Their mission is to use multicultural urban arts to empower youth to become who they were created to be In 2006, Justin Rule started teaching an after school magic class and had no idea that so many Divine doors would open leading to HEADS UP. Uniting with local urban professionals with a passion to empower youth, HEADS UP has grown from one instructor to nearly twenty! They seek to connect students with their unleashed potential through multicultural youth mentorship programs led by local, active, urban professionals. The vision is to connect with students in their neighborhoods, churches and communities and to empower them in their passions. They are after more than just safe-haven environments; we are pursuing character, integrity, heart and soul. Learn more >>
Break Dance: Heads Up worked with the local Boys and Girls Club for 10 break dance sessions to get them ready for a corporate party. This is what we came up with in just 10 classes - pretty good start, huh?! Click here to see the video!
