Charles (LC) Brooks
My name is Charles (LC) Brooks. I'm 22, and was a member of the Club for 8 years.
When I think of the Club, I remember St. Joseph Community Center Bowling Lane, and Boys Club Bucks.
For me, the Club was a safe place to go to keep me out of trouble, a place to hang out with friends.
My favorite memories of activities or events that I participated in at the Club include the talent Show, ranger camp, and Basketball leagues.
The club gave me scholarship opportunities to attend school and lead me in the right direction. I attend Hofstra University majoring in Sociology with a minor in humanities and played football, currently transferring to another
institution for the same major and minors.
The Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster is a fun safe place to go to meet people and enjoy yourself off the streets.
Right: Charles receives "Boy of the Year" honors in 2002.
