Employment Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements to be employed at the Boys and Girls Club of Lancaster:
All applicants’ backgrounds will be checked prior to employment in order to safeguard the well being of the youth served by the Boys & Girls Club. We will investigate the accuracy of data provided in the application process for all applicants before appointment to the staff can be made. This investigation may include, but is not limited to, reference checking with past employers, the military, schools, appropriate volunteer agencies and police and other government agencies. Polygraph and fingerprinting will be used when necessary to verify particular circumstances.
The club is a “Drug Free” workplace. A pre-employment drug screening (at the agency’s expense) is required prior to employment.
Upon employment, a statement of good health will be required from a physician.
Applicants must be cleared by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania DPW to ensure the applicant has no history of crime or abuse against children.
